Join us as we host this educational evening at The Els Center of Excellence, a world-class facility providing leading-edge Autism Spectrum Disease (ASD) programs and services on its 26-acre campus in Jupiter. The reception will showcase local community resources and services available for ASD individuals and their families, as well as the organizations and businesses that support P.B. Pediatric Society. Education Objectives:
1) Understand the impact of genetics on ASD.
2) Learn which tests and when to order genetic testing in ASD.
3) Understand the importance of early screening and detection of ASD and the role of Early Intervention Providers in this process.
4)Classify what assessments are typically used in a comprehensive ASD evaluation and how these assessments aid in providing a reliable ASD diagnosis.
5) Describe how to determine if an intervention is evidence based and discuss specific interventions and strategies that are considered evidence based for individuals with ASD.
