Overall CME Objectives: 

  • Define routine radiologic procedures in primary care pediatrics 
  • Compare the radiologic techniques to evaluate common newborn disorders
  • Outline the decision process and rationale for which test to order for common problems in primary care pediatrics,
  • including evaluation of cough, abdominal pain and headaches.
  • Compare the diagnostic tests to evaluate a heart murmur
  • Review the risk of heart disease in children and when to perform a diagnostic test to evaluate (ie EKG in athletes)


Target Audience: 

Members and Guests of the Palm Beach County Pediatric Society, Pediatric Dentists, Pediatric Sub-Specialists, Primary Care Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and any healthcare provider who treats and cares for pediatric patients.
